Flurry = worst of the lot, but simultaneously "cheapest" and "makes
pretty graphs that lazy marketing people like to go "OOH, SHINY!" at"
GA = most professional of the lot, but requires training (!) to use it
fully. Many marketing teams these days have at least one trained GA
person, especially corporates and digital companies, in which case its
a no-brainer.
New Relic = new kid on the block, has the shiniest graphs of all - but
costs a monthly fee, and aggregates/deletes your data every 7 days (!)
(so you only get "summary" data for everything more than a week ago).
This is either foolish or very smart, I'm not sure which yet :).
Personally, I'd say "GA if you can, if you (or client) is willing to
learn how to use it (it's a powerful tool, a bit like Excel: simple on
the surface, but only worth using if you're going to learn how to use
it properly) ... New Relic if not. Flurry if your budget is $0 and you
basically don't care, and only want to track "how many people used the
app yesterday, and which version of iOS were they running".
NB: Flurry's stats are broken for everything except the basics. The
basics ... you can track yourself very easily. If you are despertely
short on time and money, I'd use Flurry, otherwise: don't bother.
Flurry used to be great for its time, but *it never improved*, and the
market moved on rapidly.
