[iphonesb] Publicizing Sale Prices

Hi,

I am wondering how the various sites that publicize sales on apps know that an app is on sale?  Do we as developers have to send them notice, or do they use scrapers to monitor apps for pricing reductions?  If the former, does anyone have a link to a good list of sites that will make news of your sale?
